Stretching both slender arms above his head, Yuri bends his back to relieve some of the built-in tension. Riding cramps the body and tightens the muscles, and it's already going to be a relatively uncomfortable night.
Once he feels vaguely human-shaped, Yuri approaches the pack and begins to sort through them to find clothes.)
I don't care about sleeping outside. (He's from
Russiaa land where the people can manage harsh conditions, this much isn't going to kill him.) But it'll piss me off if they sleep in my house while I'm sleeping here. (He's just pissed at them. The clothes look much cheaper, but they'll help him blend in.)
How long are we going to travel for? My uncle's kingdom is going to provide the most support.

[ Otabek finishes getting the tent set up, pinning the corners down to the ground so that it can't flap up on them in the middle of the night--well. Afternoon. He's pretty sure that the sun is about to start rising soon. He digs out a couple of blankets, moving over to Yuri to hand him one. ]
Until we know more about who did this...
[ He pauses and frowns, his gaze falling to the ground between them for a moment. ]
I fear none can be trusted, my lord.
[ Not even him, if Yuri were smart about it. Though Otabek had nothing to do with it, there was currently no way for him to prove it. Still... He was ready to lay his life down for the prince. He just hoped it wouldn't come to that. ]
We should rest for now. One of the smaller towns in the kingdom shouldn't be far from here, assuming I didn't get lost on our run. We can start our questioning there.

(As Yuri accepts the blanket, he shifts it to the other hand so that his clothes are still within convenient reach.)
We can trust him. His kingdom is a little further away, but he's not the coward my uncle is, and he'd never turn me away.
(It's a fact, as true as breathing, but Yuri has always been loyal and caring to his grandfather, as if the boy that came to life around him was someone completely different. Maybe Otabek got a bit of that as well, but they shared something in common: neither were dicks.
The blanket is placed on the ground as light blue eyes scour their surroundings for a tree thick enough to hide behind. Choosing something close, his slender body slips behind an impressive trunk and keeps talking.)
He'll give us sanctuary and even more swords.

He thinks on Yuri's grandfather for a quiet moment. Though Otabek had ever met him only briefly during an official visit, even in that instant he could tell him to be a good man. Maybe... ]
It'll be a trek, but that may be our best option.
[ The man will probably hear about his grandson going missing into the night before they even arrive. Or worse-- there could be rumors that the prince has been murdered. ]

Walking a little bit more's going to be better than going to family that wants my land, too. (The kingdoms weren't officially at war, but the divided relatives were always trying to acquire even more property, people, and power. )
The problem will be going through the territory. They're backstabbing bastards. If they find me there unofficially, they'll probably see it as a chance to get rid of me without anybody knowing.

He lets out a quiet breath as he finally finds a spot to settle on the ground. His eyes glance toward the horses, briefly, glad to see them starting to relax and find a spot to sleep for a short spell as well. ]
We'll start working our way in that direction once we've had our rest. And try to figure out the best ways to disguise you, as well.
[ The change of clothes into something more befitting a regular townsperson will help. The hair and the face, though... He has a distinctive look. ]

I'm already disguised.
(His next destination is the bag as he idly scratches at his side.)
We didn't have anything less itchy? (Maybe he didn't hate everything about expensive clothes.) Is there food? (Almost murdered? Time for snacks.)

[ There are a lot of very distinguishing features about Yuri's face, not the least of which is just how clean it all is. The thought of rolling the prince around in the dirt makes Otabek's lips twitch slightly and he has to cough for an excuse to cover them.
The mention of food reminds him and he pushes himself to his feet once more, groaning slightly as muscles that haven't ridden that hard or that long in a while protest the movement. He digs into one of the bags and comes back with a small pouch. ]
Some dried beef. It isn't much, but hopefully we will be able to get some more things when we reach the nearest village.

(He's thinking through the cover story, but mayhe he should take it a little more seriously. For all his bravado, Yuri doesn't want to die, but like hell he'll show it.
... Though, if he pushes that line if thought, Otabek may very well make him shave his head, and Yuri likes his hair... )
Nevermind, a hat's good.
Thanks. (With a grateful smile - - Otabek is a rare recipient - - the blond prince accepts the jerky. )
When we get to town, I want to get some snacks.

Hats are important when you work out in the fields. It helps to protect your head and neck from burning.
[ He settles back down again under the tent, reaching into the bag to pull out a piece of the jerky for himself as well, absently gnawing on it. ]
It'll all have to be things that will last a bit. And cheap. We only have so much on us, unless you're willing to do some manual labor for a bit.
[ Otabek is but... He glances up toward Yuri, finally gesturing toward the space next to him under the tent. ]
Lay down. Rest.
no subject
(Yuri guesses that makes sense. The sun is hot, and if you're working in the fields, under its glare, you'd want protection. The difference would be the material, probably, something wide-rimmed instead of the usual fancy decorations.
Yeah, he could probably do that. He can handle a disguise.
At the instruction, the thin blond falls beneath the tent and spreads out his arms, more in complaint than anything else, but since he actually likes Otabek, he doesn't actually hit him with his open arms. However, even laying down, his eyes don't close. Instead, they stay trained on the thin fabric above them.
Men had tried to kill him. Now that the adrenaline is dying, that reality hits him.)
I'm too pissed to sleep.
no subject
Perhaps counting could help.
[ He glances over his shoulder and down at the stretched out form of his prince, the smile carefully erased from his features. ]
The heads of your enemies, of course. Not sheep.
[ Oh. Oh, his lips are twitching. Time to look away again. ]
